Step 1: Place your board/bowl etc on a dish towel - Cut a lemon in half, run it over the board/bowl to make the wood damp with the lemon juice.
Step 2: Sprinkle course sea salt over your entire board
Step 3: Using the half lemon, scrub the salt into the board being sure to get the entire wood surface.
Step 4: Use a paper towel to wipe the board down - sometimes I will give it a quick rinse with cool water
Step 5: Apply CREII Wood Love to the entire wood surface, I like to let this sit for half hour as the wood will really soak it in, especially is the wood has been allowed to dry out completly,,,, you can leave it longer if you like
Step 6: Use a lint free cloth to wipe off the excess and buff
Ingredients: Locally sources organic bees wax - pharmacutical grade/food grade mineral oil - organic rosemary essential oil.
Maintenance: I like to take care of all my wooden kitchen items, once every couple mths. If you have a new wood object I recommend that you do this at least once a month for a couple months, as the wood will naturally loft… the salt acts like a organic natural sand paper and will shave off this lofting, leaving your board smooth as butter. (If you have ever bought a charcuterie board which was all buttery smooth when you first got it, and then you use it a couple times and it has a rough feel to it, well this is a natural occuring process of the wood, so don’t fret…. the more you use your board this lofting eventually disappears completely….. Oh and did I mention NEVER EVER PUT WOOD OBJECTS IN THE DISHWASHER.
Plant a Tree: We are proud partners of “One Tree” so when you purchase this object, we plant a tree on your behalf, so that future generations can enjoy this beautiful planet we all get to call home.
NOT JUST A PLANK OF WOOD, BUT AN OBJECT OF SLOW LIVING
