Private Home

This project began with a call from my client who was in the process of downsizing from a large family home into a older smaller home which had not been refreshed since the early 70’s. Although she was doing a major furniture purge, she asked me if I could redesign her large four poster bed to fit into her new smaller space, the bed she gave birth to both of her children, a piece of significance. I met at the home she was selling to view and measure the bed, then it was off to the new home to get a handle on space, well lets just say it was going to be tight. This kicked off a complete home renovation which would start with the bedroom and sitting room, later moving onto the kitchen and then the rest of the home. The one thing she wanted was to remain within the existing foot print, so no structural changes were made, so we could retain the charm of a home built in the 70’s.

In the role of general contractor, we handled all aspects of design and managed local trades as required to complete the entire project. We engaged Deltar Construction for the major construction components, we have worked with them on a number of other projects and have come to trust their commitment to excellence.
